Joseph Esherick
This was the final work of noted architect Joseph Esherick before his death in 1998. The school marks the transformation of the Tenderloin into a family neighborhood populated by Southeast Asians. The school's vibrant color scheme inspired MacDonald's to brighten up its building too (Wiley 2000: 218).
